Anette and Bruno François, charmed by the domain, presented their project to their friend and close collaborator, Pierre Villebrun, and since July 2008 their collaboration continues in the vineyard. Sandra Villebrun, Pierre’s wife joined the vineyard and is in charge of the administration part. All animated by the same passions, oenology and soil, they decided to realize an old dream.

Titanic works are still being realized on the whole domain to make it rise from the ashes. The renovation of the building is almost finished, the redevelopment of the vineyard will continue for 2-3 years, the cellar is going to be modernized and a cellar for storing will be built very soon.

In spite of the heavy renovation work, Bruno François and Pierre Villebrun managed to make their first wines in 2008 and are proud of their first vintage.

Bruno François and Pierre Villebrun, true Epicureans, always take delight in receiving visitors and making them taste their wines. They certainly will tell you their anecdotes about their beautiful and unique adventure.

Cosy guest houses will be built in the Clos des Américains within the next few months.

Anecdote

The “Clos des Américains” holds its atypical name from the XIX° century.

At this time, French vines were destroyed by the phylloxera, a devastating aphid. Vines were saved by American stock, naturally resistant to this parasite.

Our vineyard was one of the first to plant these
American vine stocks.
