Bruno François and Pierre Villebrun share the same passion for vines and wines. They took over the vineyard in collaboration in 2008.

They pay a particular attention to the quality of their wines, practicing sustainable farming and taking care personally of the wine making.

Bruno François was born into a farmer family in the Hautes-Alpes, in France.

After a first degree in biology at Grenoble, he followed studies of biotechnology engineering at Polytech in Montpellier. There, he had a first contact with the wine world by following training in oenology at the faculty of pharmacy.

Bruno began his career at the Pasteur institute and later at Sanofi.

In 1993 with Swedish partners, he created NovAseptic a firm of engineering and production of components for pharmaceutical industries and biotechnology. In 2005, this company was sold to the American group Millipore.

Further he met Pierre Villebrun who brings him knowledge in agronomy (which missed to him). That is why, according to this meeting, he took the decision to look for a vineyard. After eighteen months of research, more than twenty vineyards visited with the help of Franck Hartman, Bruno falls under the charm of the Clos des Américains vineyard and makes a buying offer the same day.

The vine growing part is done by the manager of the vineyard which is also a friend of Anette and Bruno François, Mr. Pierre Villebrun.

Pierre Villebrun, graduate in agriculture comes from a wine grower’s family. He took benefits from his education because his parents were owners of a vineyard and a cellar near Saint-Chinian in the Hérault department.

After a career in retail industry, he met Anette François, Bruno’s wife within the framework of their common passion: horse riding. Pierre has always been fascinated by horses and more particularly by harness indeed. It is through Anette that he got acquainted with Bruno.

Pierre is mainly responsible of the vineyard.

Association of their totally different but complementary personalities allow them to work together to elaborate and produce wines of quality.
